MAKE TAX FREE MONEY $$$
What you do is collect all the cans and bottles and energy drinks and alcohol bottles etc etc that you see.
Go for a walk,.. push the pram,... go for a scooter or bike ride. With the walk its easy carry a bag with you a old plastic shopping bag etc. With the pram your partner or significant other or husband or wife etc can push the pram while you be on stinky can bottle collecting duty. With a scooter and or bike or ebike,... you might somehow need a bucket to hang off the handlebars,... or a milkcrate,... or find an old horrible backpack you dont like and wear it and put the cans or bottles etc in there.
In my area I can easily find 10 a day on a walk. Sometimes I might find 1 or 2 only,... sometimes there might be 20 or 30 !!! You should be able to make $1... or $2 or .... $3 dolllars every walk or journey !!!
In Australia at least,... a hobby that makes under $7000 can not be taxed.
If you somehow collect more than $7000 dollars worth of recycled bottles or cans you must declare it as an income. You have somehow breached into serious money collecting territory and the government will now open its hand and expect money from you. STOP AT 7000. Once you have collected somehow $7000 of bottles and cans for that year. STOP . Don't collect anymore ! By my own napkin math... I manage to make $50 to $70 every quarter... If I am lucky I might make $200 or $300 or maybe $400 dollars for the. year. I would ultimately like to make $500 because that is in the minimum marketable parcable or purchasing a stock on the ASX. It would have to be a safe and secure and heartfelt and confident stock pick. If I spent a whole year picking up bottles and cans for 1 stock. It would be a safe one. Not an umming and ahhing risking this might work. It might make me big money. It needs to be safe and boring. I would not want to waste a year of my life choosing a bad stock.
Here is some napkin math pertaining to collecting cans and bottles for the ten cents
7000/0.01=700,000
$7000 dollars divided by 10 cents = 700,000 cans....
10 cans is 1 dollar
100 cans is 10 dollars.
1000 cans is 100 dollars
10 000 cans is 1000 dollars.
Walking around my suburb,.. which is a lower class demographic,,... I find many cans and bottles everywhere. There is alot of laziness and bogan behaviour in my area I can profit from $$$. If you live in a clean area,.... or a upper or middle class area..... or a tidy ,... law - abiding area. You might struggle to find the 10 cent cans and bottles.
Some good places to look include:
Any local park and or playground etc. - There is always lazy kids or teens or young adults that litter at parks and playgrounds. The council is meant to clean it up but they can't get everything clean all the time. Look in the hedges ... Look in the bushes,.. Look near and behind chairs and benches.
Bus stops and train stops and public transport stops - People are naughty and lazy and often litter around public transport. Gather it all up $$$$ easy money.
Near small shops or near service station / gas stations .
Near small shops and gas stations / service stations ,... there is always people being litter bugs and leaving cans and bottles everywhere. Scoop it all up .. You will find lots and lots around these places.
Sadly.... in creeks and drains and near bridges and water ways and flood catchment easement type things.
PLEASE be careful though... Around water flowing and water infastructure,.. you can find your 10 cent cans and bottles around these areas. Just be careful because even though it might not be raining or flooded at the time. It could be slippery. If there is algae or moss it could have you slip and you don't want to go hurting your bum or back or hip or legs and have a trip to the hospital.
SPORTS FIELDS !!!
people are thirsty with sports. This also includes near basket ball net ball or tennis courts etc. This is treasure island. You will find near physical activity places. People are dehydrated and so buggered that they litter because they are buggered from sport and activity.
PUBS AND CLUBS AND RSLS AND DRIVE THRU BOTTLE O'S.
In a 100 metre radius around a pub or club or rsl or particularly a drive thru bottle o. You will find people will buy alcohol and then hide in a bush or behind a tree or just walk down the path drinking it .... They will not carry it home to put it in a recycle bin,... they will litter it anyway and everywhere they like. I find alot in tall grass opposite the BWS. It is once again the gift that keeps on giving.
EQUIPMENT I PERSONALLY USE
NIPPERS CLAW....... this is a claw nipper with a pole that makes it so you don't have to bend over and also not have to touch the possibly sticky or smelly or yucky or unhygienic bottle or can. It will save your health and your back. I got one for $7 from the local OHS high vis work clothing store. It is a godsend.
Bucket - I use a red Sydney tools bucket.. I can easily fit 10 in this bucket.
ALDI cold bags - I sometimes usually take an aldi cold bag or two... I never ever ever use them ever again for a grocery shop. I fill em up with the ten cent bottles and cans.
A hat - If its sunny you are going to feel hot and dizzy. I wear the big mitre 10 basket weaver hat.
Sunnies - It will be bright. Wear your sunnies.
I often wear HIGH VIS - so I look like a council or goverment or cleaner type person.
